This website is a nonprofit fan blog whose primary purpose is to share written commentary for entertainment and education (mostly entertainment if I’m being honest). All writing featured on this site is my original work, but most pages also include a small number of copyrighted materials (images) of which I do not claim ownership. To the best of my knowledge, my inclusion of such materials is in accordance with United States fair use doctrine (17 U.S.C. § 107) due to the following factors:

• Purpose and character of use. Copyrighted images are used for informative and illustrative purposes, meant to provide context and visual aid to my writing. They are not and will never be used for commercial purposes.
• Nature of the copyrighted work. The images used are mostly artwork and “screenshots” of animated features. I acknowledge them as property of their copyright holders as well as expressions of their creators’ artistic identity.
• Amount and substantiality of use. I use copyrighted images sparingly in compliment to my writing. My intent is not to reproduce copyrighted works but merely to comment on them, so I make sure not to show any more than I consider necessary.
• Effect on the potential market value of the copyrighted work. The images I use are freely searchable, and I am not distributing them in any way that would harm sales of products they are part of. For example, I occasionally use comic book cover art without any of the book’s inner contents. Therefore, my inclusion of copyrighted images should not affect the owner’s ability to profit from them.

If any materials on this site are found to be infringing on copyright law, I will immediately and fully comply with DMCA policy. Furthermore, if a copyright holder or artist expresses any kind of complaint against my usage of their work (assuming they even know this site exists), I will promptly remove it without any legal action required.
